Recreational
Program
The recreational program at Spotlight DanceWorks
provides a stimulating and fun dance environment for male and female students of
all ages. At Spotlight DanceWorks
all you have to do is love to dance! Whether
for fun or fitness, recreational students receive quality dance instruction in
all forms of dance from professional and enthusiastic dance teachers. We are
committed to creating a fun and friendly environment where students gain team
building and confidence. All
recreational students will have the chance to showcase their talent at the
annual dance recital -- an exciting night for everyone!
Competitive
Program
The Spotlight DanceWorks’ Competitive Team offers
a balance between the fun of dance and the challenge to excel in our craft.
Students can compete in solos, duets, trios and groups. Being a member of
the team requires hard work and dedication but it is also rewarding! The
competitive team is expected to train 2 to 3 times a week and will participate
in approximately 4 competitions across Southern Ontario.
All students are welcome to audition for the team, however, only those
accepted will be notified.
Awards
Day
Every
year Spotlight DanceWorks marks the success of another dance season with our
annual awards ceremony. Our students work hard during the year and we look forward to
celebrating the achievements of both our recreational and competitive dancers.
Family and friends are welcome to join us. More details will follow closer to
the end of the year.
Annual
Showcase
Dance classes run from September to June,
culminating in our annual recital. This is the opportunity for both our
recreational and competitive students to shine and to share the results of hard
work during the year. This year’s annual showcase is “Dance
Into the Spotlight!”
The recital will be held on the second weekend of June at the Bowmanville High
School auditorium. Stay tuned for
additional information closer to the date.
Summer
Programs
Spotlight DanceWorks will be offering summer workshops
and camp programs running in July and August.
Students will have the opportunity to spend extra time on technique and
explore the world of drama and music as well as crafts and games. More
information will be available closer to the summer.
